I can barely believe that a place like this exists in the world. Seems like it would have to reside only in the imagination. You've captured it well!!! Daniel.

How very curious! It's as though a giant octopus landed on this temple and has taken up residence there. ~V~

Nature is very invasive and covers the temple... V

I have seen such trees on tv, they become empty inside and die but they hold the form and so don't let the ancient architecture decay... wonderful invention of nature, V

This is an image worth a second look, Vera. When I come to it for the second time, I see something that I missed the first time around. The trunk and roots of the tree take on the form of a body with its back to us. The head is invisible, well beyond the top of the frame. Yet its massive arms grasp the roof of the temple as it anchors itself on its many legs. It seems to resemble a giant dinosaur, peeking over the top of the building. Your image triggers the imagination to go beyond the facts here, and in the process, makes much more of the photograph than you intended.

This is a wonderful image, Vera -- the ancient tree seems intent on digesting the ancient temple. I was at Angkor nine years ago, and made a similar image which I have posted athttp://www.pbase.com/image/20740639
While your image is from Siem Reap and mine was made at Ta Prohm, we both use striking scale incongruity to tell the story of nature's ultimate triumph.
