There was a little Superette there on the right. And, the Postal Service building with the big parking lot was a Safeway Market, maybe the crappiest one in the county, but it was convenient...On the other hand. when it closed we discovered the Mar Vista Market which I still miss, and later Trader Joe's.....(no Trader Joe's hereabouts ...BOO-HOO!)

yep liquor stores on bothsides of the street !! you guys had a short walk from breakwater to grab a brew. We had to mob all the way to the beachhouse,muni's, or the trading post. what was Windward Farms ? I remember it being "condemed" looking for years then it opened up in the 80's. who remembers getting some gritty Carob ice cream and "bulk" granola at the health food store across the street?
