Ty I made it back to Venice and was skating around with a head full of memories... Hands down some of the best times. I went down to the Venice Pier and was asking around, looking for you, if you hear about some big kook that was looking, it was me. When I heard about you, I hurt, some water is not meant to be glassed. If you get this which I doubt, look me up. Your brother, Steve Kalapos. 248-755-3525
PS. If anyone else sees this and knows Ty please get this to him.

A lot of people love Ty, aka Tyrone, DJ Ty. Yes, thankfully, close individuals have been in frequent contact with Ty. Don't know anything about a "Kristen" person, but do know about others close to him whom have been seeing to it that he is well, happy and healthy, are still in frequent contact with him. He is a lovely human.

Ty i am sorry i have not written you for the duration of your sentence. I appologize a thousand times bro. Dealing with lifes ups and downs has kept me in a shadow of misfortunes and i forgot about the people who mean the most--- family! There is no excuse and i pray to god that you forgive me. Tyrone is my older brother. We have the same mother here in philadelphia. I spent a handful of times with him building a relationship and getting to know one another. The time i spent with him i realized that i wished i could be just like him. Tyrone is a smart, extremely generous, kind-hearted,spiritual, ambitious, charismatic and the list could go on and on. Life has truly dealt some painful cards to my brother and he still stands tall to this day. Anyone who knew couldn't have anything bad to say about him and if they did they don't really know him. He is a man who played the cards that life dealt him and will continue to play them as he sees fit----The definition of what a man is !!! I love you Bro---Stay Strong

It's nice to hear from Tyrone, and all things considered he seem to be doing pretty well. I really only knew him when he was a little kid. He was a friend of Harry's (who lived across the street on Cabrillo). Tyrone was on Andalusia. I suspect that he can't directly access this site and so asked someone else to copy and paste his words from another approved site. That's the only reason I can think of to explain all the extra stuff. There is an address below...look for the corrected one.... but, as you can see, it's two years old.....

I've been a professional disk jockey for more than 18 years, playing and collecting all types of music. I played percussions in numerous bands. To me, music is one of the best things on this planet. My others passion, however, is surfing. I have been surfing for 30 years. Both music and riding waves are spiritual experiences to me.

I have been fortunate enough that I have been able to travel considerably, and I have experienced many different flavors and situations in life. I am 42 and I've been through a lot both good and bad. Yet I know I've only just begun, as I've got a long life ahead. There's so much more that is to come. As I've mentioned, I've had an abusive life at times. Yet I still consider myself blessed and I appreciate the subtlest things in life, things that most people take for granted. I recognize and give thanks continuously.

Tell readers why you want to participate in Step Up:
I want to participate in Step Up because I see the potential and ability for this project to help myself and to help others. By following Step Up, we can progress through the plans of action that has been laid out. I want to live as a positive example and therefore possibly inspire someone else to make better choices. Also, participating in Step will help me actually write out my plans. With the plans written out, I can thoroughly study and maybe adjust them. By putting my ideas out there, I am forcing myself to be held more accountable.

My name is Tyrone, but every just calls me Ty. I am more than halfway through my sentence, with 44 months behind me and about 38 months more to complete. I am a father. My daughter is now 18 and she is extremely bright and beautiful. I'm proud to say that she is about to enter college. Even though I've been in prison for almost four years, her and I are very close (as we've always been). We maintain the relationship as best as possible through constant phone calls, writing through the mail, and visiting just about every other week. I've never been married, (yet I have had long relationships). My daughter's mother and I broke up before my daughter was born. We are, and have been, best friends ever since out daughter was born.

Tyrone,
A guy that would give you the shirt off his back.
I used to clean his house and he had a Cook that would cook these awesome vegan meals and he would feed me and pay me cash.
I met him when he lived off the Boardwalk.
He ended up hooking up w/my friend and they have a daughter who just graduated High School

J.H. was one of the first friends I made among the locals and that was because I wrote to him when he was 'out of town'...(and a rocky friendship it turned out to be, though I don't think I'd do things differently if I were given the chance). They wouldn't allow you to send photographs so I made this "writing paper" ( The identifications have been inserted now. The handwritten text originally filled that center white area). They let it through! This was the first color copy I ever made and it cost a 'fortune'...

I thought I heard right . That shit sucks .
Hey we should get a list of all the peeps that are locked up and post their booking numbers
that way people can shoot them a kite or some chips . just a post card or something to them at mail call can bring a smile to a guys face at mail call . Trust me I know. I also know nobody gives a damn about ya . there are 3 places where you find out your true friends .
Death,hospital,prison

we are left to deal with Loss on our own.
I learned that the hardway, but as long as I learned from my lesson I'll be OK
I learned my lesson YEARS ago back when I went to 9 funerals in one year. I know now that compassion and empathy are words of alien meaning to most folks from Venice. fuck that the United States of America has this train of thought as a collective consciousness. if I'm lying prove me wrong .... please prove me wrong
