Ah, my first crush.
He played the stand up bass in elementary school, lived on Pleasant View and teased me incessantly when we were just little kids. I was two years younger and took up playing the bass just to be near him. That didn't work! He just threw things at this geeky little pest girl!
Aum. R.I.P. You had a lot to give.

He spelled his name Aum Trammell . I went to Venice High with him from 1984-1987 . He was a super cool dude , really funny and always down to back his friends/homeboys up when ever where ever ! He was always tripping me out ! Just like Randy VBWL Stated he was killed in a gun fight (I belive over drugs)at the South Bay Galleria located on Hawthorne Blvd. and Alondra .

Aum Tramell, best friends with Matt"Rocky" Robbins when they lived on Venice Blvd (kiddy-corner from the new Venice Library) and part of the crew that started surfing the Breakwater in the early 80's along with "YT", Quiv, the Burtis bros, Crazy Dave, Tim and Kelly Jackson, etc... A cool youngster that got tooo involved in gangs/drugs that ended up costing him his life in a gunfight at a mall in the South Bay-(Del Almo?) RIP, Aum...

I am not sure how he spelled it? He became a full on cholo..
He taught me who Jimi Hendrix was.. As you can see in this pic, it captures him the way I remember him..
Just a surfer at heart..
