In 1986 I entered a photo competition at UC Riverside, the prize being that the winning entry would be published. These were the title pages of two albums I put together. The second was just a re-vamped version of the first. Both featured groups of portraits taken over a period of time, much as this site does. There was a coctail party for the entrants and my 'book'( a looseleaf volume)was, if I do say so myself, the big hit of the party.People couldn't believe that two pictures of the same guy, 9 years apart, were really the same guy. The winner however was some guy who hadn't entered actual photographs, but only submitted a description of the images he would produce if he were to won the prize(?????!!). The sent us all a copy of the result and it was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo lame!

This cover was made from a picture of two pictures of mine that had been push-pinned onto a bulletin board in that roller/skate/board shop on Speedway and.....was it market? Hence the graffiti.
