I was Jet's handler in 1967 till Dec.24 . I was O.J.T with him ,He was a fantastic dog. A family in Pheonix ,Az.gave him to the Army. I wrote to them but got no reply . When did your father have jet ?

Anyone remember SPC 4 Russell "Rusty" Holland? He was in the 212th MP sentry dog. Tall drink of water. One dog was named Arko. Russ was from Rhode Island. Any info appreciated! D

The picture with the dog and handler flying in the helicopter could very well be myself and my dog King. I was in Vietnam (An khe/Plieku) from 1-3-1970 till 9-3-1970. King was mostly white with a black saddle and the Handler could have been me 20+ pounds ago.

This is Gary Durkovitz and that is me with Senta in 1972 at Utapao, AFB. I believe if memory serves me it was with 635th SPS. Please correct the spelling of my name...thanks.

In the photo of Luis Padillo the bldg has the "follow me " patch up on the corner. Most basic training units at Ft Benning displayed these on the old WW2 two-story wood framed bldg. I hope this helps.

Hi I find the subject of wardogs fascinating. I feel these dogs should be honored and their handlers too. I am going to be working on an exhibit, if anyone would like to tell me their stories and what their dog meant to them, please contact me at my email . I am also interested if anyone knows of a marine named Craig Demichelle he was killed in Nam in 69. He lived in Queens, NY, and went to the same school as my brother. I would like to honor him too. Hi my name is Derek and my dad served in the 212 mp long Binh. He handled Jet 376E the same dog as Jeff Volkers handled. I just want to learn more of what my dad did and how he served. It was never talked about really in our home but now that I am an adult I want to learn about what it was he did without upsetting him. I am proud of him for he served his country and served the men around him in war. He is a hero and always will be in my heart. I just want to learn about him and the animals that served with him. Please help with some ideas on where to look or how to talk to jeff? Thanks and thanks for serving our country and being a team with the animals........
