Shannon, Good stuff. The VC lives again. I wish I could only get time to work on my layout, how do you do it? Back to 1:1

Shannon,
Thanks for signing my guestbook and for the kind words on my layout and website. Hey you're right! It looks like our railroad companies could almost be owned by the same parent company. ;) If you ever want to swap some decals, let me know.

Really enjoyed looking through your photos. Good stuff! I'm still learning the photography thing. Although I have to admit, looking through your abandoned Virginia Central gallery makes me sad. Sure makes you wish you could turn back the clock at times so you could experience first hand the fallen flags doesn't it?

Cheers,
Kevin

I am new to model railroading and live near Doswell/Beaverdam, VA. I would like to buy an engine that CSX uses in the area so I can have a "local" engine on my track. I passed an idle engine on the track yesterday and it had wings or protruding vents on the rear and lightening bolts painted under or beside the engine number. Can you tell me what engine that is? SD70ACe? Can you tell me which engines CSX uses typically in the Dowell/Beaverdam areas? Thanks!

Nice stroll down memory lane with some of this stuff. I grew up watching the RF&P and later CSX out my backdoor. Nice job.
