Little Frogs

At first glance, it was hard to see what was in the water.

At second glance, I discovered that the pond was full of these tiny critters. Without my 600mm lens, I might have missed seeing them. However with "Big Bertha" to help me, I found a photo moment.

These little fellows were probably 2 inches large at the biggest - probably smaller. This image shows a handful of the mini frogs congregated on about one third of a normal sized lily pad. They were some distance away.

If a girl is going to use a big lens, she's gotta be able to carry it, too. VBG.

Although last month I carried Big Bertha (and tripod with Wimberley head)about a half mile while photographing a Grizzly, I usually only go longer distances with Big Bertha in her rolling pack pack. Bertha alone weighs 12 pounds, but she's still pretty easy to use. Far more than most people think. I love her. Like my Uzi, Big Bertha has opened new doors in photography for me.

Wow! Do you carry Bertha around by yourself? I think I'd need a lot of help! LOL Nice catch.
