jeanb...thanks for your concern. Do to the fact this picture was taken over 3 years ago and I have slept since then so I don't know for sure but I am pretty sure I used a diffuser on the flash. Also I was not real close to the subject. This is a focal equivalent of almost 100mm and it is a very heavily cropped picture, it is a 3.3 meg camera. I can say without a doubt the birds eyes are fine.....WEM
