George

Newport, Oregon

Taken at the Hatfield Marine Science Center. When I asked about taking pictures, they said not only yes, but they encourage it. Quite a different attitude from some other places. Best of all, it's free.

I had taken three of these pictures as my batteries went flat. After re-examining the shots to see if I got the best, I noticed a little fellow that was in a better position in this picture. Can you see him?

The orange things are Sea Fans, the purple thing is a Sea Cucumber, and Mr. Hidey is a Pipe fish.

PS: Are those fuzzy-looking things plant or animal?

Took me a while, but it is the long green fish that looks like one of the fronds, isn't it? Nice shot!

He sure would be hard to see if you weren't looking for him. Nice shot.

Nice exposure, and pipe fish is perfectly camouflaged. Good thing you pointed it out.
