The mission of the United Way of the Coastal Empire (UWCE) is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities.

Through partnerships, long-term planning and wise investment of donor contributions, United Way supports nearly 90 community programs and services in Bryan, Chatham, Effingham and Liberty counties. United Way of the Coastal Empire is a volunteer driven organization. More than 100 volunteer carefully review agency requests for funding, paying special attention to agency management, program delivery and outcomes accountability to ensure that your donations are really making a difference.

Thanks to the Herschel V. Jenkins Trust Fund and other income, which cover 100% of administrative and fundraising costs, donor contributions go directly to help people in need.
