I think the selective coloring is well done, as has been mentioned, but I prefer the full on color shot. Firstly because it is very vivid and lit very well and secondly, more importantly, because the grey pup loses something in the selective shot. ...so well photographed that desaturation just doesn't do anything for the photo, IMO.

Both shots are great but I like the b&w a bit more because of the way the selective color jumps out. Great job!
