I was brought up on Holts in Oldham and a walk to Hartshead Pike was an adventure and a treat. Great to drive past as well. Shame the old pub's no more - apparently moved to newer premises. According to David Wayman, Oldham Corporation Buses, DTS Publishing, 1997, Hartshead Pike is 940 feet Iain.

Wow, I grew up just down the hill from here and now I'm looking at these pictures for a paper in my degree in New Zealand. Great memories of the big adventures we had to climb up to the Pike!!
