A photo taken not so recently, revived with an E-3 an' some TLC.
This is a photo of my mother (that's my mother on the right) taken by my father with a medium format camera as a still from a play he was directing,
I believe Checkhov's Uncle Vanya (one of my favourite plays).

I had to take a photo of this large print to digitise it.

I guess with your families background you'll be familar with the concept of 'breaking the fourth wall' In some ways we do what when we put ourselves in our own photgraphs. At our best and most fortunate we make pictures because of what stands before our camera, to honor what is greater and more interesting than we are.
