abandoned fish factory

This rather stunning piece of modernist architecture was to a be a fish factory, build as aid by the Norweigans in the '80s but it never got off the ground because there wasn't the infrastructure to support it, like a decent road, so the fish couldn't get to market. Lesson for developmentalists: 'joined up thinking'. Millions was poured into something that gave the community worse than nothing: false hope.

Another meaningful shot that leaves us pondering and hoping for a better solution and tomorrow for the people.

I like how you have included the fence to reinforce the idea of denial to the fisherman and the whole community. Hopefully one day....

I'm glad you've included this shot here complete with the story of the building. It's amazing how these things happen and the worls doesn't have a clue... It reminds me somehow, when people start these campaigns to minimize the hunger on some African country.. people give stuff, give money and then most of the times the things don't ever leave the warehouses here, other times, the things arrive, but not exactly to the one's they were meant for... this case here was one that I still haven't seen, but I imagine there will be many more throughout the world unfortunately...
