Kees, you're a tough taskmaster! I recall composing it through the viewfinder putting the pole at the axiz of one of the 3rds but it didn't work as well as where I ended up putting it. As for the leaves top right, they stay in the movie -because they are the last of the leaves before winter banished them all!

Fascinant... Presque rien, et tant de choses en même temps! Juste un bel équilibre entre minimalisme, vivacité et soupçon de désordre... Bravo.

Great shot.! Reminds me of a shot in my Red gallery, oddly.

I 'see' the Craig in this, but I really think this is more a 'Dom' shot. It has his sensibility all over it.

I'd borrow that for my "Mu" gallery!
Bien faite, neveau ;-))

I like it a lot... through its simplicity. I would probably have cheated a bit myself and moved the post a bit further to the right to get it in the perfect third; following the rule of thirds guideline. Nevertheless, this is a beautiful and honest shot that makes it worth looking at through its simplicity and great range of tones in the reds. The vey vibrant in the bottom, the muted in the middle and the dark in the shadow. The twigs and the post draw focus to the corners and add a focal point. The twig in the top left serves no puropse and could also have been cloned out... I know... terrible thoughts. Sacrilege.

Thanks! This is a fantastic shot. Love the red-on-red and left-corner brass and right-corner branches. Makes for an intriguing image. :-)
