Habitual smoking is, objectively speaking, for mugs. But I'm damned if they don't make good props.

Great s/p. I tend to favor the cigarette as a prop (and otherwise). v.

You're like the baddie from a film noir Niall!

Niall,

Just read the note. Listening to jazz and smoking is alright. They kind of go together like Miles and Coltrane. Just don’t listen to their entire works while smoking. That could be a bit hard on the lungs. Trust me.

BTW: Happy New Year.

Happy new year, Niall!

Yes!! What a beautiful light...
And well, I'll vote for the jazz cigarette too ;)

PS: Don't you worry, that glass will be upturn and full tonight as I am sure yours will be also. Happy New Year Niall

Niall, this is excellent. Love the correspondance between your eye and the red of the cigarette.
And yes, the concept of jazz cigarette is also great. Bravo !

My black pearl gaze bit into her evening more than the knife of broken glass that shattered from her grasp. As I felt the hem of her shoulder smoulder into submission with the ember of my silence that lit her melting chocolate eyes. She apologized for the drooling, blood wine over my tie. That dribbled into undeniable dark desire.I trapped her flickering whisper captive .As helpless as the votif ,waxing thin and pale and shivering lusty honey light between us.And I would show flesh her no more mercy than the smoke burning passion from my lips.
~V! Brilliant stunning SP You are the BEST!~

"So I'm having a smoke, and what ya gonna do about it?" Smokin' (sorry) SP. Love the direct stare and the shimmering light on hand and shirt.
Happy New Year, Niall!

Well done! Lighting and processing are first-rate.
Chris31-Dec-2005 04:06
You are just begging Rod to put the pulp into fiction with this, aren't you? I like the low-saturation in this. Draws just enough attention on the glowing ember of the tobacco without removing the attention from the one in your eye. The paisley-print shadow on the stick hand is pretty cool, too :)

Great light and framing.
Guest 31-Dec-2005 01:59
Great SP, Niall. Light, expression, mood! all is there.
And I must confess, I'm jealous of your cigarette, LOL!
But I can't smoke only the "occasional jazz cigarette", so... ;-)))))

Master of light.. excellently done.. the dead-on stare - almost defying anyone to argue the point.. to disagree.. intimate and dark.
