very very good.........gg
"You're in the army now" by Status Quo. I didn't stick around for it, as you can appreciate...
what was he playing? His victory is in his face - in fact he doesn;t even compete with the impossibility of the building's arse - he doesn't care where he is - he's in his music. rock'n'roll.
Some Terry Gillian's Brazil atmosphere here...
until I met Ray Pettit on PBase, I never knew what a busker was . . but his series on a particular lady opened my eyes . . .and mind =]
wonderful shot. simple background with an interesting subject.
this image makes one think and feel..great shot
How lucky your are tha the guitarist is right under thoose lines and not dead center. Excellent!
Your guitarist provides the perfect foil for the dynamic straight lines which dominate the image. And the piece of paper represents the urban dimension of untidiness that we encounter every day.
Humm !! an urban pic but i feel and calm. Niall, plain but impressive composition, homoneous undertones, interesting subject, and... the little white tone point on the left.
Great pic, really great pic
brilliant!!! i like the minimalistic composition...
the stable geometric forms are in contrast to the curlicued melody of the music...
It's all about perspective - not "how-this-is-shot perspective" but the way in which we see things perspective - what things are like from our view, beliefs - how we register ourselves in the little world of "ourselves"
The huge, rectangular vent LOOMS over the man, who is oblivious to it. He dwarfs his guitar, but it is an extension of him. His guitar cover lays flat and forgotten on the ground in front of him, until the time when it is useful again. All leads to the small bit of crumpled paper - insignificant in size.. so unassuming that it's almost out of the frame. But without the paper - this image is not as resounding. To the man.. the music is the only thing.
To the photographer and viewer - it is just the beginning.
The grey monochrome of this really adds to the feeling that all in this world is connected..
A very lonely busker. Nice image.
Ahhhhhhh.....Vote, I like also the piece of paper on the left side... ;-)
