We saw signs like this all through the Newberry Area last weekend.
Firefighters from all over the country came to help put out the one
of the largest forest fires in Michigan history. The residents of
Newberry were very thankful for all the help to protect their town
and the surrounding area. Townspeople fed and housed the firefighters
and even the residents at the local prizon helped out by making
sandwiches for the firefighters. All us UPers (even the part-timers)
give a big "THANK YOU" to all the firefighters who made great sacrafices
to come to our aid.
