These photos were taken in Kathryn Albertson Park in Boise, Idaho. This 41-acre park, the former site of a large pasture, was commissioned by grocery magnate Joe Albertson for his wife Kathryn. Their home was perched high above the park, allowing Mrs. Albertson to admire it any time she liked. Both Mr. and Mrs. Albertson have passed away, but this park remains a gorgeous legacy of their generosity to the community of Boise. The park, dedicated in 1989 and located just blocks from downtown Boise, is home to fox, beaver, deer, heron, racoon, and other wildlife.
