Nice start to closeup photography. This can be a very addictive field of photography. You need to make a few trips with David and I to the spillway.
By the way, in case you didn't know, this is a male Pondhawk. Both sexes start out green. The male will excrete a blue waxy substance with time. First the tail will turn blue then later the thorax. The head remains green with both sexes. I assume if he excreted that waxy substance over his eyes, he wouldn't be able to see very well.
