Great eye Gary! We stayed at Jasper Park Lodge at the end of April, and I stood right at this tree trying to decide on the image I wanted. Somehow I had it fixed in my mind that the tree, which sticks out over the lake at 45 degrees +-, must form the top frame of the photo. That didn't work from either left or right. You recognized that the tree would work simply as a close-up feature in a broader shot. Excellent composition!
