With one of the most extensive historical heritages in the world as well as being declaired a World Heritage Site, Cordoba has a lot to offer. Dating back to the 8th century BC, Cordoba is definately ancient, but it also includes some fantastic examples or religious, civil and military architecture. One of the most famous, the Mezquita, began its construction in 784. A 14th century Synagogue and 14th century Alcazar are also here, but remember the Madinat Al-Zahra, the 10th century archaeological site a short ride from Cordoba.
