Yep most photographers can never find the perfect bag! And will have a secret room full of unused camera and gear bags. Funnily enough my main camera carrying bag is the first Lowpro bag I bought, a few years back now. Most gear goes into Peli cases for travel, but if you put the bodies in there and they've got wheels and you use them it's amazing how it shakes all the crap off onto your sensor (yes I learned the hard way), so bodies go into carry only cases :) This Lowpro is a dinky little one I've just bought for the Sony RX1. Won't fit in the pocket, but a lot lighter and unobtrusive than the D4!
