Trish Oliveira's Bio:

A native of Recife, Brazil, I am the most recent in a long line of artists to emerge from my family. Having both my mother and grandmother as accomplished painters and my grandfather as a published poet, there was no doubt that from a young age, I was a recipient of the "artist gene." While dabbling over the years in painting, sculpture, and other media, the camera was never too far out of my reach. What started as a hobby, subtly developed into a genuine passion for the view that lay beyond the lens. My inspirations have been driven by my frequent travels and worldly experiences. It was however during the two and a half years that I lived in Oahu, Hawaii, that truly gave me the necessary boost to get those creative juices flowing once and for all. The beauty of the islands and their people overwhelmed me from the moment I arrived. Something took over my soul and told me to capture every moment I could, for each moment was in itself, a living dream! Moreover, in March 2005, I received a honorable mention in Canon's 2005 Amateur Photo Contest "Portraits of Hawaii." My winner photo "Big Island Kahuna Boy" was selected and displayed at Oahu's Canon Photo Gallery.

Now back on the mainland, I have decided to share my very personal art with the rest of the world through my newest venture, “One Eye View Photography.” I hope to spread some of the happiness I have received over the years through photography with others who may feel a certain kinship with my work.
