What makes this image so expressive are its congruities and incongruities. Every one in the image reads, but two read together (both in red, both holding their legs the same way, both large and sharp) while another reads in the background, alone, soft, and small. Meanwhile the square tiles create a rhythmic pattern that echoes the repetition of the reader's leg positions.
