The landscape is helped by the road that draws the eye towards the horizon. If you had stepped just a bit to the right, you would have included more of the right hand side, and strengthened the thrust of the road considerably. Another problem is the light -- while the sky is laced with lovely clouds, the color on golden field is a dull brown because the sun is directly overhead, which limits dimension, detail, and color. If you had made this same shot just after dawn or just before sunset, it would be a much more dimensional, richer image. But you can still work with this image in photoshop to simulate those qualities -- play with curves, contrast, color balance, until the color in the field becomes brighter, and see if you like it better.
