This guy never turned away, he was sitting like that when I approached him from behind him, he never saw me taking the photo - what appealed to me is the mystery of the man, the hood hiding his face, combined with the colors in his garb being reflected by the colors of the door and the wall
My problem with this photo is that it reminded me of all too many pictures of my own -- just as I was about to shoot, the guy would see me and turn away. It seems here you have caught someone trying to avoid the camera. Perhaps I am too close to such situations to be an objective viewer. The light and shadows are wonderful. It is the point of the picture -- what seems to me to be a person hiding from your lens -- that is the problem for me. It is kind of like the shot of the people you made that had one of the men sticking his finger in his nose. There is a lot of that stuff going on in Morocco.
