You had your spot meter on here but did not use it to keep the pink dress and part of the slide from burning out. Had you placed that tiny focusing target in the center of the screen on that area, held the shutter button down until the green dot stopped blinking, the dress would have been entirely pink. The boy behind her would have gone dark. You could have brought him back up again, without risking burnout, by using the sliders in Photoshop CS2's Shadow/Highlight control. Why do you routinely use ISO 200? Are you choosing that ISO, or is the camera?
Check your settings and make sure the ISO is selected by you, never on AUTO. Choose ISO 80 and 100 for the best quality images outdoors. Only use 200 indoors, and and in very low outdoor light.
