Had you backed up just a bit and framed his feet in with the rest of the shot, this would have been a magnificent environmental portrait. The feet on the floor would echoed the hanging over the edge of the table -- the feet projecting from the legs, as the fish project from the table. Practice seeing the whole thing, Mo -- instead of shooting people from the ankles up. If want a head and shoulders portrait, that's fine -- but its a different kind of shot. If you want environmental portraits, think body language, and the feet are a critical part of the body.
