I don't know what happened here, but the image did not focus properly. There is also "ghosting." It looks as if you cropped this image severely and this is only a tiny part of the image. Or perhaps you saved a jpg several times, and if you do that, your image will become fuzzy like this one. Always enhance your image and save it with photoshop as a TIFF file, which is not compressed and you can work on it again and again without losing anything. The pictures you make "off" that TIFF file can be converted to jpegs and saved once and only once.

I don't know what actually caused this softness. If it was focusing, you must wait until you see the green dot stop flashing before completing the shutter button squeeze. If it was cropping, don't crop an image down to any less than a quarter of the image -- that brings your picture down to two megapixels. If it was saving a jpeg more than once, make sure you don't do it.
