Funny, I was in Jodhpur in late Nov. 2003, and took almost the exact same photo of that exact same bike, in that same spot and 45 degree angle. I just framed it different: I pulled back to frame it with the top and right side of the outer wall of the cubbyhole that the bike is sitting in.
Wow! The intensity of the red is almost overpowering. To think how many people probably walked by this sight and didn't give it a glance, but you made it into art. Thanks.
One of your strongest images, Mo. The red seat against the blue wall creates a strongly incongruous contrast between two primary colors. It is a symbol for someone wanting very much to call attention to himself -- via his seat, no less! So there is a touch of whimsy in this shot as well. It is abstracted -- you don't show the whole bike, only part of it. It is well organized, relying on strong diagonal flow. My only suggestion for improvement is to strengthen that diagonal by cropping a bit off the left side and off the top.
