This is wonderful portrait, Mo -- the thanaka on the faces is incongruous and the serious expressions and flowery hat make it very special. If you had moved slightly to the right, you would have been able to eliminate the non-functional bright ground at lower right -- it pulls the eye away from the people and does not add meaning. You can't crop it out after the fact because that would chop into the child and the hat. So you are stuck with it -- it is a good thing to always check your background to make sure everything in the image is working for you. The fence at left is wonderful context because it is a Burmese fence. If that fence had filled the entire background, with no ground visible, this image would be more cohesive and without distraction.
