There are some extremely expressive moments here, Mo -- these people are very vulnerable, yet they face your lens in various stages of comprehension without flinching. It makes all of us feel just as vulnerable in the telling. If you converted these to black and white, removing the colors, the images would become less specific and more universal. However the color does add an incongruous touch at times -- they seem all dressed up, with no place to go. This gallery is not really about the common areas of the retirement home. It is about human beings at a stage of life where time is short and yet each moment seems an eternity.
