11 - Eight days old




Around 4 p.m. a couple of SS soldiers carried a gas bomb inside this holy place and set it off, filling the church with a cloud of noxious black smoke.
The plan to asphyxiate the women and children within the House of God failed.
The SS soldiers then fired hundreds of shots; many of the shots were low to the ground to hit the youngest of villagers.
Babies in their carriages were blown up by hand grenades; the youngest being only 8 days old....

Excellent monochrome work but a horrid story.
Many lives were lost defeating this enemy , but just think if they were not
defeated , what it might be like today.
I have a deep respect for all that have fallen for the cause .
My vote is for the image not the story.
