Sucre, birthplace of Bolivia

Bolivian independence was proclaimed in Sucre, still the nation's capital in name if not in practice. Whitewashed, gracious and blessed with a mild climate, Sucre feels more like a transplant from Andalucia than an outpost of Castillian civilisation.

As with my other 2016 Bolivian & Chilean galleries, many of these images were captured on a Samsung Galaxy smartphone. Other images were taken with Nikon D300 using RAW format, and may be licensed.
