Mekong journey: Koh Trong

Cambodian towns like Kratie draw much of their identity from the Mekong. Island communities like Koh Trong, facing Kratie, await discovery by travellers ready for something quieter than Siphandone, Laos' Four Thousand Islands. The island's simple charms can be enjoyed in a few hours' cycle touring, although overnight homestay and mid-range guesthouse lodgings are available.
