May 2010: New highways and shopping malls have rendered the Tourist Club area completely unrecognisable, apart from Le Meridien Hotel (not shown here). It would have been a waste of time to try to find where the Water & Electricity Department building once stood. Likewise the port area, Al Mina, and its associated roadways have now absorbed the open land visible in the distance.
