Rode the Peoria Rocket from Chicago to LaSalle many times back in the late 40's and 50's. Glad to see the depot is still standing. One time saw the Golden State passing through but since on was on street level in the station, only saw the tops of the cars. Spent summers in farming community of Tonica some 12 miles south of La Salle on RT. 51 Thanks for the memories. Mexrail
