A moving tribute to David Leslie and Richard Lloyd, who were tragically lost in an air crash at Biggin Hill in March, was held immediately before the race. One of Leslie's favourite cars, the Group C Aston Martin AMR1, took to the circuit behind the Saab displaying the cross of St George and the Scottish Saltaire, and a minute's silence was also observed.
The race was led initially by Michael Caine in the Trackpower TVR Sagaris. However, he was gradually reeled in by the red and white #4 Mosler of the McInerneys which took the lead just before the 1 hour mark. The Mosler then stretched away to win whilst the Sagaris had problems and finished well down the order. Runner up after 4 hours was the yellow Aston Martin DBRS9 of Barrie Wight and Gavan Kershaw with the red and white Ferrari 360 of Witt Gamski / Keith Robinson 3rd.
