iCan 6 was AWESOME...just like you & your students. I LOVED getting to meet your students. That night of SFETT movies was a very special night that I will always remember. I want to come back again to visit you.

Marco and my new student friends--

I cannot find just the right words to express how thrilled I was to have been able to attend iCan4! Also, to have Marco escort a group of us to the home of SFETT was just something of which dreams are made. I have seen your images in film and still photos for such a long time, yet when the door to Room 307 swung open and there stood Connie and Carmen -- well, my breath left me, because I realized I was looking directly at the REAL you. I cannot tell you how proud I am of all of you; you are, indeed, my heroes and heroines, one and all.

Then, to be amidst the community at the film festival Saturday evening was an inexpressible joy. I watched with great delight as you worked fluidly together as a true team to bring about a magical event. You always were delightful, to each other and to all of us in attendance. Smiles were everywhere. Joy was abundant. Inspiration was effervescent. You really made it happen! I thank you and I love you immeasurably!

Marco, you are a giant -- a true gem among common pebbles! How you show us all the clear path toward excellence in teaching. Oh, that this nation (and world) had just a few more teachers like you. We would have absolutely no need whatever for any legislation like "No Child Left Behind," even in its purest of intentions. As I have said many times, you are my own personal Jaime Escalante, for you show me the "ganas" for learning.

The pictures are spectacular; however, they dim and fade in comparison to what it felt like to be there in person -- to stand at the front of that community gathering with you, mi amigo Marco, and all the marvelous students behind me, wrapping me in love, as expressions of how this world can be when we all love, respect, support, and encourage each other. May you each and all find a perpetual cascade of blessings flowing into and through your lives as long as you live.

Love from Mississippi!

What an impressive show it must have been! This is the kind of thing I always dreamed of doing with my kids when I worked at a high school. I never put the time and effort into it that you obviously did. What a great night for the kids! Sure wish I could have been there. Thanks for posting all the pictures. I look forward to getting a chance to see some student movies.

Marco & Friends,
Thanks for sharing your magical evening with us. We want to copy your idea and start a iFilm Festival here in Nebraska. Thanks for the inspiration!
