I've been wanting to get out on my bicycle and with my camera to shoot Fall colors before they disappear! But, I've been a bit hindered by everything from rain to significant overcasts.
Today has been one of those days with a lot of overcast. So, I decided to do some exposure testing, rather than just take off. There were a combination of darker clouds and brighter clouds, and I wanted to push my exposure from a bit "medium" to "Expose To The Right" to get as much shadow detail as possible without "clipping" the highlights.
I've learned that my trusty ol' Canon 5D "Classic" tends to give unreliable "early warning" of clipping, so I purposefully pushed the exposure just beyond the warnings and took the shot!
