Earlier this year I set out to photograph some of the artwork that has been "going up" in downtown Vancouver (Washington). It was mostly pretty straightforward, except for one, a wide "mural" that I couldn't just shoot wide from a distance because there were cars parked in front of it.

So, I decided to get several views, one showing the whole mural at an angle and then several of the various "segments". My thought was to use Photoshop to merge the segments as a panorama and, hopefully, I could get them to reasonably "blend"...

Sounds "simple", right? Well, not simple enough! First off, there was no way that the shots would automatically neatly align. And then, I'm pretty much a Photoshop "dork". In fact, to be honest, the last time I was serious about learning to do things of any complexity in Photoshop, well, a few months ago I did a "focus stacking" project, but before that, well, it's been a few years, as on '07 before I jumped into using Lightroom for most of my image processing.

So, you can check out these photos to see what I had to work with, and then at the end a very unperfect panorama, one that I'm sure could be "helped" but I gave up on it for now!
