And then, one of the day's highlights was the best photo op! An osprey flew over and landed on a telephone pole some distance away -- the first shot is uncropped from my 100-400 lens at learly 400mm.

I took some shots, then began moving slowly closer, across the road, took some more shots, came closer, repeating -- you can see in a few of these pics that at one point the osprey was crying out, and you can see its tongue!
