Back at the car, I put on my 300mm lens with a 2x teleconverter, to give me my best "long shot" setup, grabbed by tripod, then carefully got as close to the eagle as I could without scaring it off, and started taking pics! I got a number before the eagle got tired of posing for me and flew a ways off...
