In the '90s and the beginning of the 21st century, I used film cameras and scanned the prints to get them onto my computer and to make my own digital prints.

Then, in late '01 I borrowed a digital camera from my work at Hewlett-Packard, a 4MP HP C812 (they made compact digicams and this was an early model) and got my first taste of shooting digital. Finally, in late '02 I bought my own first digicam, a 4MP "advanced zoom" HP C850, and it's been downhill since!
