Bridge Of The Gods Kiteboarding Festival 08, Day Two, July 26 08

Saturday, July 26, the Bridge Of The Gods Festival '08 (BOTG 08) in Stvenson, WA began the official competition with multiple "heats" of Men, Women, Juniors, and Masters (age 40 and over. A heat consisted of a group of kiters riding across the Columbia River, then returning, building momentum until, near the event site shoreside, they performed defined "tricks", skills on and over the water which were judged using appropriate criteria.

The heats narrowed down the competition to a last final heat for each category, producing a winner and runners up for each category.

Note: I've only been shooting sports type of photography for a few weeks, mainly with these cool people, so my skills have to catch up with the enthusiasm. I took over 2000 shots this weekend, and it's a lot to wade through to find what I feel are the best, so bear with me!
