Schwangau and Surrounding Areas



Schwangau is the village of royal castles and of King Ludwig II, Bavaria´s fairy-tale king.
No other king is loved in Bavaria as much as he is. Especially in Schwangau. For no other village is
situated so close to his favorite castles and nowhere else do people look up to him so reverentially,
even geographically.

I seem to recall the best apple strudle ever can be had in this little town. Your gallery brings back memories (I just wish I had toured Neuschwanstein BEFORE touring Fredrick the Great's palaces in Berlin/Postdam...) Love the pictures so far! Please more? Voted.
