Origins of the castle date back to the Staufen Period and came into the possession of the Counts and Princes of Hohenlohe around 1300.
It was rebuilt in the Renaissance Style around 1600.
Today it houses a Museum and is used for concerts in the huge Hall of Knights.

Wonderful work Tom. Both the photographic work and the processing work are outstanding and combined with this subject they make for an excellent image! "V"
It would be most interesting to hear this majestic castle tell us what's been happening in and around it during thousands of years! The castle with its surroundings has been very well taken care of. What a lovely shot, tom, very inviting! V!
Breathtaking and impressive image Tom!! It's an imposing castle and you made a great image of it. Love the trees and the clouds in this superb composition. V+++
