in the late Afternoon sun seen from the balcony of our vacation appartment "3 Castle View"
Rheinfels Castle is a castle ruin located above the left bank of the Rhine in Sankt Goar, Germany. It was built in 1245 by Count Diether V of Katzenelnbogen.
What a castle and what a view and what a super apartment you were in!! The golden shafts of sunlight and the sunlit leaves add a gilt finish to this perfect view. V
Spectacular lighting colors in this elevated view of the castle. The little touches of red, blue and the small white house are nice. I also like the role of the road in making this a strong composition. VVV
Wonderful lighting Tom, great with this long focal length. A beautiful view from your window. "V" Even though the name Katzenelnbogen seems obvious to us in meaning today, it's origin is not clear.
